Thermoplastic single- ply roofing membranes are among the fastest growing residential roofing products and have gained broad industry acceptance for their many performance and installation advantages. As demand increases for heat-reflective and energy efficient roofing systems, thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) single-ply roofing membranes continue to provide exceptional resistance to ultraviolet, ozone and chemical exposure. There are different thicknesses available, ranging from .45mil to .80 mil and limited lifetime warranties available for residential applications. The standard white TPO roof is Energy Star rated which means homeowners may be able to benefit from tax credits from the US Government. This type of roof stands up to standing (ponding) water issues on many flat and low slope roofs. We also use it in trough (enclosed) gutter systems.
